B.J. Daniels started her life in Houston, Texas, before her family moved to Montana at age five. She grew up in a cabin in the Gallatin Canyon near Big Sky and later on Hebgen Lake near West Yellowstone. Because of her love for Montana, most of her books are set there. Born into a storytelling family, all she'd ever wanted to do was write stories. After a career as an award-winning newspaper journalist, she wrote and sold 37 short stories before she finally wrote her first book, ODD MAN OUT. Since then she has won numerous awards including a career achievement award for romantic suspense. She lives in Montana with her husband, Parker, two Springer Spaniels. When she isn't writing, she quilts, boats and. makes rope/fabric baskets. She always reads, loving to lose herself in a good book.
Overly complex plot with loads of red herrings, multiple murders and OTT characters. I finished it by flipping through the dated story. Did not like it at all.
Rourke McCall had been sent to jail 11 years ago for a murder he didn't commit, so when he gets home he looks up Cassidy(who pretty much hung him out to dry during his trial) and they started working on his case together. They eventually get it all figured out and there is a happy ending. But I won't spoil it for you.
I really enjoyed this book. Rouke McCall had been sent to jail for 11 years for a murder he didn’t commit. He is determined to find out who the killer was, and to clear his name. The plot had several suspects. I never expected who it turned out to be. I loved the friendship that grew into more between Rouke and Cassidy.
I loved this story. BJ kept the reader guessing who did it. Every time you thought you knew who did it, the story took a turn to more suspense. I really enjoyed reading this book and the storyline was great.
He knew he wasn't a murderer. He just needed to find who was. B.J.Daniels writes a very good story. You are drawn in from the start. From time to time you hold your breath. The characters are so well done you would recognize them if you saw them
3/5 STARS! I enjoy this series & the McCall ranch is an interesting place. This was a fun one on Rourke & I really liked all the action in it. I also did not guess the true killer & the ending was quite the twist. Really enjoyable!
This is a quick read Harlequin Intrigue. Rourke has just been released from jail and sets out to prove he was wrongfully accused of murder. Cassidy helps him solve the case and prove his innocence
Good plot that keeps you guessing until the end. At 22 Rourke McCall was sent to prison for a murder he adamantly maintains he didn't commit. Cassidy was a witness that was used against him. Rourke vowed revenge on Cassidy, but on his release, he teams up with her to uncover the real killer and puts her in danger doing that.
Interesting storyline. A man sent to jail for a crime he didn't commit gets out after serving his time and goes home to find the real killer. Of course, there's a woman involved. This who done it is pretty good.
