The 5 star rating is not necessarily for entertainment nor enjoyment, but as a regular discipline and study of truths. That said, the literary aesthetics are sublime, particularly in the Psalms. English Standard Version seems to be one of the more accurate translations, that is readable, without being folksy nor sentimental. Some of the paraphrases seem trendy, lite and casual unlike this translation. This is a good read, but one book (or section) at a time, as there is much to digest and ponder.
