This is a good story to read aloud with children. It involves jealousy, bribery, and revenge while still staying as PG as a Marc Brown book would.

The trick that Francine and the Brain pull on Muffy is a good discussion starter with children. We enjoyed reading this book together.

Classics I guess. Loved the show as a kid. I remember getting home after school and watching the one that started at 3:30.

Francine and the Brain didn't want to see Muffy getting everything she wanted. For their science fair, Muffy gave some treats to the judge so that she could win the fair, that bothered Francine and the Brain and they set the plan to put her through the trouble. They wrote the note by pretending they were Muffy's secret admirer. While reading this book, I was worried about how Francine and the Brain would tell the truth at the end and how the story ended. Although it was not the solution giving me satisfaction, I still liked the way it wrapped up at the end. It shows many different personalities since Francine and the Brain had the opposite characteristics.
