I loved the premise of the book. Jane's three eccentric uncles purchase Flynn at a charity auction. Jane is equally eccentric. She requires people for her chemical experiments. Moreover, it is her birthday. Her uncle hire Flynn to protect Jane from Mick Barstow, her former boyfriend and lab partner. However, Flynn cannot tell her they hired him.

Liked the premise, and there were a few engaging scenes throughout the novel, but ultimately I skimmed through a lot of it. I found it somewhat OTT and unrealistic, and there was just a lot of stuff going on that didn't convincingly add to the relationship development.
