You need to walk through fear, have simple plans, and be well prepared. The book had interesting stories of succeeding both in the military and everyday life. While the book is broken up into chapters with tools (which could have been summarized better), it seems the key point in the book is in the end - avoiding complacency and getting after something that really matters. If you get nothing else from the book and get off your behind to make a difference - a solid win.

Interesting perspective from a Navy seal on targeting goals.

I found this book slightly awkward to read. He seemed to have an acronym for every technique which seemed contrived to me. As well - I found many of the techniques irrelevant.

I thought that the chapters could be better organized. I had to read through the entire chapter to find the main message at the very end....

Some of the activities seemed useful and I've written some of them down. He obviously has a tremendous amount of focus and discipline, given his career. However my overall impression of the book is that it was awkwardly written and this non-focused person lost her interest several times...
