A great book for those who want to reflect and spend time with God, or for those who want to learn more about Teresa of Ávila. The meditations combine Teresa’s history with guided reflection and Biblical teachings. I will definitely be checking out more in the companions series.

I came across this in a collection of books from a family member. While the language is dated and heavy handed, there are some intriguing quotes from St. Teresa's writings (particularly from her poetry) and a few reflection exercises that are quite emotionally powerful. Elaine Kohner's illustrations are quite charming.
