A lot more dense with information than I expected, but spread out over the pages and spaced with large pictures. Similar to but not quite as overwhelming as a textbook. It didn't feel totally like a layman's book; you have to know a bit about weather/weather systems to really understand everything that's said. And yet at other parts, the captions especially were repetitive, re-explaining things that had already been talked about at least once if not more.

The book goes into detail about all the different cloud structures, environmental climates, extreme weather, how to read weather systems... pretty much everything you could think of. It's too bad there isn't a newer edition; I think this one is from 2004 or 2008? I'm sure lots of weather tech and even the climate itself has changed.

I think this book is a good one, it tells a lot of good information about the weather and how the country's monitor where it is and how dangerous it is. It also shows how weather prediction equipment has evolved over the years to to be a lot more accurate and helpful to the people predicting weather pasterns to keep us safe.

I was very satisfied with this book,as a future meteorology major, I was informed greatly with the information in this book about different types of clouds, temperatures, and the people and animals that are effected by the weather. I learned about what its like in different parts of the world and the causes of certain weather situations. I learned about what it’s like in different parts of the world and the causes of certain weather situations. I love the pictures and diagrams that were shown as a visual aid to help me get a better understanding of how it works and know where some forms of weather come from. This is a well educating book and I highly recommend it.

This book showed realistic illustrations as well as facts about the picture presented. It is a good book to use with your students to show them real life pictures. I am into photography so the real pictures of lightening attracted my eyes and I have also attempted to take decent pictures but I only got one that I am proud of.

Visual guide. Good pictures, but very many reusing of them for my liking. Text is average but sometimes completly useless. Brought it just for visual reference in hardcopy, won't be good for anything else.

Excellent photographs and other visual material. The text seemed awfully superficial in places, even for a visual guide.
