A book written by a colleague of mine in the field of Child Drama, George offers a ton of insight and strategies for using drama as a powerful learning medium in working with underachieving students. One great feature of his approach is the way he bring dramatic theory and theatre practice into learning theory focusing on key strategies that engage students of low-self esteem, learning challenged, and students in general struggling with a milieu of barriers to learning. A great resource for teachers and parents, even better if you have a working knowledge and perhaps a passion for theatre - the most socially direct art form in our culture.

This book was the only book that I read in my Elementary Ed program that I have kept... granted I've only completed one semester, but it is a great resource for my classroom and understanding the dramatic learner. I will use this over and over I'm sure with those students that are struggling in my class.

This book is AMAZING. It is so helpful. It opened my eyes to different learning styles. This book will help me reach ALL of my students, not just the ones that are like me.

Really well written. One of the books I didn't sell back from that semester. Brings out some interesting points about kids who learn differently than the rest of the classroom.
