I stumbled upon this little Gem today and bought it for myself for Christmas!
It is very easy to review this as it is a journal, so not much reading involved, but boy this is a good little book, perfect for keeping track of what we do here with book reviews and reading challenges etc.

Everything appears to be covered and all you do is fill in the necessary information, tick the relevant boxes for reviews, give a star rating out of five and so on. The opposite page is for writing your review or just taking notes.
There are 143 pages for book reviews, so given that each takes up two pages, you will fit half that many books in...plenty for me as I plan to use it only for my galley or arc books to keep track of when reviews need to be posted etc.

There are also loads of things in the back such as books borrowed, lent, wanted, recommended by, favourites, contacts, bookclub info, group reading lists....and much more.

It's a great size for carrying around with you too..I already love this little Gem!!

The blurb says it all ;)

Highly recommended 5*s

The cover is different, but the author, title, # of pages, publisher are the same, and it goes to the correct book when you click the Amazon button, so my guess is it was updated or something. I can't wait to start using this!

I believe the author on this is Rene J. Smith and it's Peter Pauper Press that published it. Not sure how they mashed the 2 names. Love this book! I keep it in my bag with my Nook. I'm borrowing so many eBooks now from the library that this really helps keep track of everything I've read. It gives you a "Table of Contents" that you fill in yourself. They give you 2 pages for each book with places to fill in Title, Author, Publisher, Number of pages, Fiction/Genre or Nonfiction/Subject, how you discovered the book, when & where read, if you want to check out authors other books (you can add books to another part of the journal under "Book's I'd Like to Read." For each book there is also a place to rate from 1-10&n/a the Quality of Writing, Pace, Plot development, Characters, Enjoyability, Insightfulness, Ease of reading, & Photos/Illustrations. The second page is for your notes & opinions and ends with a overall rating that gives you 5 stars you can color in as you wish. I've found this very helpful in being able to make notes and rating it right after finishing the book so that at a later date I can us those notes to update my goodreads page. Think it's a Journal any book lover would enjoy as a gift.

ever since I picked up my first formal book journal last year, Ive really enjoyed the process of making notes as I read and having ways to organize my thoughts and some of the details of the books. I like the compactness of this journal. the rating scales for different aspects of the books (quality of writing, pace, etc) is helpful when distinguishing why exactly I liked or disliked something, and the page for notes is a good length. however, I don't love all the other superfluous info - it seems like this book wants to be the be all end all for your reading life in keeping track of books you've lent, tbr, etc - but when I use Goodreads for so much of that info and rely on these for just book logging, it takes up page space I'd have liked to use for more reflections. overall not bad, and it will get me through the rest of the year, but not one I'll be purchasing again for 2022.

My mum got me this at a bookstore where she was vacationing. There’s not much to read, a few authors quotes about books and such every few pages along with illustrations, but it’s a great journal to record the books you’ve read and the one’s you want to read, to keep track of all your book-related contacts and reflect on your own reading life. The “Books I’ve Borrowed” and “Books I’ve Lent” sections are helpful to have. 🤓😎

The book has been updated from it's previous version it would appear. I must admit I'm in love with it. I will keep this nearby always. I love to keep up with what I've read and how I felt about it.
It's 216 pages of fun if you love books as much as I do and I'm willing to bet most of you do.
If you have any questions about the book, let me know. I will answer them for you. :-)

Terminamos ya el cuarto diario y próximamente iniciamos con el nuevo. Estos diarios de lectura son sumamente entretenidos y a mi ya me permite también llevar una lista de mis futuras lecturas.
