A surprisingly fun tale :) Steigan (love the name, all the names really) is a wonderful character. Stubborn, determined, and loyal.. .I had great fun being 'at his side'

I was a little confused at first with the terms and the world, it felt like I had come into a class where everyone knew the terms but me. It didn't put me off from reading or enjoying the tale, once I got used to it and fell into the rhythm of things it was smooth sailing for me.

The story is full of twists and turns that keep you on your toes. I was with Steigan when people were keeping things from him (although his reaction was sometimes amusing to watch *shifty eyed*)... his friendship with Martias had me smiling I loved the fact he was a centaur as well.

The mythology and the world of the story was intriguing to me... the fall of the old city and the theories of what happened to everyone when all hell broke loose. I wanted to sit in the library in the Temple to drink up the history (I know this is Steigan's tale but still haha).

I had an inkling of what was going on at a certain point in the story, but not sure if I was right. I kept my fingers crossed haha because it sounded so exciting to me. I didn't blame Steigan for being confused, he reacted better than I would have though.

When the twist was revealed, I was expecting it but it was also a surprise at the same time. The pieces falling into place had me wondering how it was all going to pan out.

One character's actions saddened me a bit, I didn't want him to turn out that way *smacks him when no one is looking, whistles innocently*

Both fast paced and slow in parts but never boring :).

The 'romance' in here is light, it happened a bit to quick for me even though it was adorable. She was a lovely character as well, wish I had gotten to know her better.

The ending isn't a cliffhanger but it does me leave anxious/excited for what will happen next and how Steigan will go about things. Hopefully I can get these books soon *crosses fingers*

Would recommend, happy reading! :)

Well, well, well.....this book pleasantly surprised me. Steigan was an amazing character, and I loved all of the twists and turns (don't want to give away much- everyone should read this for themselves!). I just can't get over how much I really liked this. I've read Dawn's work before and am in love with her writing style but this was on a different note and it was amazing. CANNOT WAIT to read the next one!!!!

I would like to thank goodreads. This is my twenty-first book that I have received and read. This story is about a young man by the name of Steigan, he is the youngest boy at the age of thirteen, has become a temple warrior,he goes by Dominus Steigen. Steigen has skills that he has mastered and he wants to be the best at them, they include being a tracker, and a apprentice blacksmith. Steigen in the story meets a princess, who is then sent on a journey to find three books hidden away for one thousand years. In his journey Steigen will come upon myths and demons and magic. He will have to learn to use magic that he has been sworn to annihilate. The story I found to be a real fun read. This is a book that can be read by all ages. The author did a great job of writing this story and making it a book that is hard to put down. I hope that their will be a sequel to this book. I would like to thank the author for taking the time to sign this book

In THE THREE BOOKS Dawn Blair creates a magical world with princesses, sacred knights, and unicorns, just to mention a few of her interesting characters. What I especially like about this book is that Blair provides a map and a list of characters so if you get lost or confused, it’s easy to get back on track. A fun read with magic, fantasies, and a world-altering quest. What’s not to like?

Not terrible, but not particularly good, either. The story was pretty predictable, the world-building was rather poor, and the story meandered mostly pointlessly. Very little real sense of danger, so very little tension. You gotta have some tension in a story. I was mainly just bored. It took forever to really get into anything actually interesting in the story.

I also felt no connection to the characters at all, they were just flat and uninteresting to me.

The story can be fun, but only if you rarely read this kind of story will it feel in any way original or interesting.
