Colors Board Book

Inquisitive toddlers can lift the flaps to uncover silly surprises in this clever early concept board book. Simple text and die-cut pictures prompt toddlers to identify the color and then guess what hides behind each flap. From lily pads that are green (like...a frog!) to flowers that are purple (like...a butterfly!), this adorable, one-of-a-kind board book offers a fun new twist on learning colors.

I loved the concept of the book- simple wording with cutouts and lift the flap to show a new picture underneath. But some of the pictures were creepy, the mermaid, polar bear and Santa for example.

The best part about this book is that my daughter can recognize and say Santa, though he looks like an illustration of Bad Santa. The colors are bold and introduce two objects each with a cutout and lift-the-flap, but the images under the flaps are disproportionate and slightly creepy (I'm looking at you, mermaid). An okay choice for another chance to recognize color, but with so many other color books out there, I'd skip this one.

My son loved this book because there was an illustration of Santa for the color red. He's obsessed with Santa. However, Santa was a bit creepy looking and a few of the other illustrations were scary as well.

Whaaaaaat even is this book?! I have no idea what the yellow thing was supposed to be, and the pictures of Santa, the mermaid, and the polar bear are kind of scary. I gave it two stars because I was laughing so hard, but I wouldn't actually recommend this one for a child.

I see a bunch of negative reviews of this book on GR where people are complaining the Santa is too creepy looking. Haha now that I think about it, the Santa in this book does look like a demented perv. But they say that like it's a bad thing!

Great for Bunny Hop and would also be fun for one on one reading so children could open the flaps themselves.
