I am just sitting here trying to come up with something to describe how friggin unbelievable awesome this book is! From the description I would have never ever thought that these three would end up in a permanent menage a trois! The sex scenes between Lily, Evan, and Dylan were literally a blaze. Sometimes I just couldn't believe what I was reading, but I just could not step away because it was just that good. From the first encounter in the restaurant with that sauce....Steamy!! Picture Gordon Ramsey, one of the female contestants on Hell's Kitchen, and his sous chef constantly getting it on. That is what this book feels like, but all the players are 1000 times hotter. This is a must read!

This was my first introduction into reviewing an erotic book. Boy what an introduction it was! It was sort of Hell's Kitchen meets Kitchen Nightmares with a whole load of sauce added.

That being said, all the steamy scenes (and wow were they steamy!) were very tastefully done. I never felt they were gratuitous and they fitted in with the story.

I would be interested to read more from this author as I feel she writes from a woman's point of view...for women. A classy novel that I very much enjoyed.

I'm speechless, I had to give myself a minute before I reviewed. When I first picked up the book I thought it was something else completely, as much as I love hardcore erotica I never really got into the menage romances, I felt it was too much for me with 3 different emotions. This was my first and I have to admit WOW what a read, by the third chapter alone ok what they did and what they did with the sauce *blushing* might have to look at sauces differently for awhile. It did remind me of the tv show Hell's Kitchen that I am a fan of with Evan's temper that people seem to be afraid of, Dylan very sexy and Lily I'm jealous of her lol.

This book literally had steam coming from it Double your Pleasure Double your Fun with this book, it has the sexy guys, and lovable female and sex, sex, sex and more hot sex. So be warn ahead of time if all these things are not on your checklist of things you like in a book then I don't know what to tell you but I surely enjoy the read.

I just loved this story. Lily, Evan and Dylan have a great dynamic. Because its not a long story things do kinda kick right in with the attraction and then quickly in to sex. While Lily and Evan have loved each other unknowing for years, Lily and Dylan's relationship is pretty much 0 to 60 in seconds. Allowing for this I loved the story. The relationship between them all is engaging and there are plenty of hot sex scenes as well. I loved how all 3 were willing to go with their feelings instead of worrying about pleasing others or conforming to society's views...and I got a laugh out of how they keep people guessing about them in public. This did make it to my faves list and I've read it a few times already. Definitely worth the read. 2 thumbs up!

1/10/15

This is another reread for me but I've been reading and rating a lot longer now and I realized that I need to downgrade my rating from 5 to 4 stars. I still like the story very much and will reread it in the future but in all honesty, there was enough lacking or not addressed in the story that I had to give it a more honest rating. Still, I loved Evan, Lilly and Dylan. The chemistry and interactions of the threesome really made the story for me and is what will bring be back in the future. I'd still recommend this story. :D

Cooking Class by V.J. Devereaux Aka Valerie Douglas

Lily Cavanaugh is a Master Chef, Restaurant Owner, Cookbook Author. She has worked very hard to get to this point. Her one regret is Master Chef Evan Taylor. She worked in his restaurant, fell in love with him, dealt with his temper tantrums till one day he went to far. Lily walked and took her heart with her. She has never forgotten him or the heat she felt. One night while teaching a cooking class in walks Evan and his director of his new TV show, Dylan Bryant. Lily finds herself attracted to Dylan as much as she is to Evan. They have an offer or 2 that she can not pass up.

This book is Sizzling Hot!! The story line and characters draw you in and wham you are hooked. Lets not forget the(fans self)sex scenes, wonderfully written and stays right with the plot of this book. V.J. Devereaux aka Valerie Douglas is a Readers Dream Author, she writes so realistically that you can see every detail she vividly describes also feel what the characters feel. She never ceases to amaze me with what ever genre she writes!

I Highly Recommend this Erotic M/F/M Book, you will not be disappointed!

It’s like a traditional romance with a little thriller tossed in where someone said, hey make this a threesome. So this woman, who’s loved from afar her former boss is screwing him AND the complete stranger with him within 30 minutes of meeting him again / him at all. Apart from editing errors, it’s well written, but never really overcomes that but of oddness. Also, there’s not much character development apart from their sex life.

For the most part Cooking Class is pretty short, but it doesn't really feel like it. A lot happens...most of it good reading, though a few things did bother me..

First off, 60 to 65% os this story is all sex. 35-40% is actual story. As I've come across books with little to no plots, this didn't bother me too much, though hoenstly I'd have loved more story. As for the heat levels, I'd say in ranges, some scenes definitley earned a 4 (of 5) , while otehrs were only a 3...Maybe it's just me, but it somtimes it felt like some of the good stuff got glossed over...

Now then, the heroine is supposed to be one of only two people that stand up to the hero, but at the first sign of trouble, she walks...it was sort of a WTH? moment for me, and I have tos ay I almsot stopped reading. Story-wise that inconsisitency was propbably my biggest issue.

Add to that this needs quite a bit of editing. There were a few glaring errors including a few times where names were mixed up. Also the point of view switchd almost randomly, like there wasn't any rhyme or reason when we'd go from one characters pov to anothers'. Also and I'm using spoiler tags just in case but which isn't clear from the cover or from the description. I know that bugs some people so I wanted to mention it.

But over all the story was pretty damn good. Like I said a lot happens... And it kept me reading, as well as guessing as to who the bad guy was (....though looking back I feel like I should have guessed!) So 3.5 stars, if you're looking for new author's to try, this one is definitely worth a shot, and I for one, am definitley going to be looking for more V.J Devereaux titles!

This was a great book… but I had issues with the switching of POV, timelines and no discussion about anything which made it seem unbelievable. Loved with the author did with the sauces… Yummy!

This was a very cute MFM story, but sort of a bit unbelievable in how effortless and little to no discussions of the dynamics for the MFM life or anything else. Since none of them seemed to have been part of the lifestyle before, no one had any questions as to how they all wanted it to work? On top of being in the spotlight seems at least a discussion might be needed. As for the chars, I really liked each one and they seemed to work well together – but without discussing anything I guess what’s there to have issues about between them?

PoV - There were no indications that it switched from one POV to the next and I spent a lot of time trying to figure out who was talking from one paragraph to the next. That gave me a pause and why I couldn't give this higher star ranking... if only the switch was a little more obvious. Seems to be an editing issue perhaps.

Timeline – The beginning was a lot of back and forth within the past and present and I sometimes wasn't sure where I was. There was some dialog that I never seemed to be sure if it was part of a flashback or part of the current conversation.

This was definitely a hot, little number. One thing that threw me for a loop was that nobody gave a second thought to the fact that they would be in a menage relationship. Normally with just about every menage I've read -- unless it's futuristic or PNR or fantasy -- someone thinks about the fact that menage isn't generally accepted, especially in holier-than-thou America. But nobody thought anything! Even when the three went out in public -- and two of them were celebrities -- some eyebrows raised, but nothing other than that. The other thing that threw me for a loop was that within hours (minutes?) of approaching Lily about the cooking show, Evan and Dylan are both banging her with no condoms and no discussion of whether she's on the pill. But it was hot banging. All the way through. And the suspense was interesting. Evan's temper pissed me off a couple of times, but I thought it was great how Lily would always stand up to him. This was from Smashwords and I got it on sale. Even not on sale, it would have been a good buy.

Sadly, this book turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. Words were overused. Lily moans. And moans. And moans again. When she isn’t moaning, one of the men is. Stimulation, using terms of heat or electricity, was sent straight to her core, straight to his balls, straight to his cock. There were problems with continuity. Lily’s pussy floods her thighs, then much later in the same scene, her panties become damp. It was as if there was a list of stock phrases that were plugged in without regard to whether they made sense.

A scorching short read!!
Wow this book was hot. Lily, Evan and Dylan were one sexy team.
Evan and Lily had a disastrous falling out ten years prior and wasted on time reconnecting once they were reunited. I loved how they didn't waste anymore time reconnecting. They met again and admitted their feelings and never looked back.
Evan has a stalker that begins to affect all of their lives. Dylan and Evan loved Lily so much and they went out of their way to constantly prove that to her. The sex scenes were off the charts hot!!
I will definitely read more from V.J. Devereaux.

This book was so not what I thought it was going to be about. It was a whole lot of sex with some story line thrown in, just so the characters had places and reasons to have sex. Hmmm...I'm still kinda torn over whether or not I actually liked it. But if you're looking for something with a lot unadulterated sex this is the book for you.

This was ok for me. A couple of things left me a little puzzled. I just don't fall for the strong love felt after meeting only hours before, even if you had seen them in television interviews prior to meeting. I was able to get past that and enjoy the story.

Oh my! Did I miss a few pages where Evan, Lily and Dylan progressed to sex in the dining rooms. A moment ago, they were talking about a contract for a TV show (and she just met Dylan!). The rest of the story moved quickly and was ok for a menage. But, it packed a punch in the beginning.

This book was like 85% sex scenes which were hot. The rest of the story was just ok. I think the character pov changed way to many times during the chapters. It made it a little confusing as to who was "talking". Not my favorite book, but as an Amazon freebie, it was not bad.

If you are looking for a quick, light hearted, feel good piece, then this is a good one to try. A little mystery, a lot of sex and a HEA ending. Not much character development, and really fast how they jumped into sex.
