Non-fiction book about wind here! You learn about the different kinds of wind, how wind is formed, what wind does (like how it can help i.e. windmills), and how we can "see" wind. It is a bit wordy in my opinion so if you read this to a preschooler I would rephrase some of it to be shorter. The book has real life photographs of wind and things to deal with wind. Even though the photographs are old, they still relevant. Good book for early readers though!
This non-fiction text can be incorporated into a science lesson on weather. It is filled with real life pictures that allow the reader to be captivated in the story. This short story allows students to get a better sense of what wind is and how it relates to other weather types. Children can relate to this non-fiction text because it presents events and activities that most students engage with on a daily basis. I would definitely recommend that this story to be incorporated in a lesson for a teacher who is discussing weather with her students or for a parent teaching their children about weather!
