Found this book in my bookcase (not sure where it came from), and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this story, characters, and writing style.

Not a big fan of girls who need a hero to survive, that said the story was more interesting when he was a silver angel than an undercover FBI agent. If the story had been more about the mystery than the family it may have been more interesting. Found this one a bit boring, just too predictable with no twists and then her deciding to go to the warehouse on her own was just stupid and the constant harping on about the dog who pees on everyone was funny once but not twenty times. It's this story which needs saving, in trying to create a strong female lead somehow she comes across as more brawn than brains which I dont think was intended. It's not terrible but it's not memorable either.

3.5 stars Bobby Hutchinson is known for writing stories about those who put themselves at risk to stop fires. This one is better than some I have read in that it did not go overboard on the sex scenes and had more of a storyline. After finding herself lost in a burning building while attempting to rescue a dog, Shannon O'Shea is rescued by a mysterious man in a "silver" suit (one which is not available to your average firefighter but which gives extra protection). She has no idea who her rescuer was and whether he is on the side of good or evil. One of the things I liked about this book was the humour that surrounded Shannon and her unusual house guest. Their were definitely some memorable characters. One thing that I didn't like was Shannon's lack of trust in her own judgement when it came to who to go to for help. She should have trusted her guts.

I wanted to read a Harlequin novel just to see what they're about. The components of this story were flat at points, as the reputation of the genre would suggest. It was surprisingly good at parts, too. Maybe I'll read more Harlequin, some of the olden times stuff.

A quick and easy read that took my mind off current life happenings. I could relate to the firehall. A little romance, a little suspense. I really enjoyed this. Will be looking for more from this author.

I skimmed this book because I had not tried a series romance for awhile. This one follewed the cookie-cutter format. The characters were a little flat.

There was so much talking and so many characters and even more conversations about other characters that we hadn't even met the hero more than 50 pages into the book. I gave up.
