In one moment, millions of people disappear. Among them is Autumn's sister and Alex's fiancé, Marianne. At the same time the people vanish, aliens are coming to Earth.
The aliens say they want to advance man to the next level in evolution, but Autumn and Alex aren't convinced. Looking for answers and Marianne, they follow a lead to Area 51. All they find are more questions, and Alex discovers his nightmares have just begun.
Meanwhile, Autumn meets Devon who is one of the conspirators behind the plot to keep humans unaware of what is really going on. When Autumn demands he tell her the truth, he warns her that she better stop looking or she'll end up dead. But can she stop searching when she fears Marianne might need her?
This Christian sci-fi thriller explores the possibility that conspiracy theories and Biblical prophecies are about to collide. Is this the end of the world as we know it?
What's to say? I write a lot. I read often. I sleep little. Once in awhile, I've been known to clean the house. A number of kids live in my house and there's this guy they call dad and I call husband. All in all, it's a pretty good life. :-)
The aliens attack the earth and people start to disappear. Autumn and her brother-in-law try to unravel the mystery of vanished people. Instead they find themselves in the myriads of unanswerable questions. In their quest to find answers, they encounter more scientific horrors.
Being relentless, Autumn and Alex would stop at nothing until they find the answers.
This series is so interesting, thrilling and suspenseful that I can't wait to start the next book.
I was going to be careful and not do spoilers, but I see others have already spoiled it by telling what the book is really about. I started this book thinking it was just about an alien invasion, but it was so much more! The reader gradually starts realizing what the book is really about. I love the way the author intertwines two different ideas, and it's amazing how they mesh just perfectly. I really enjoyed this book. It was entertaining all the way until the end, but it was also very thought provoking. This is different from other works I've read by this author, but Ruth Ann Nordin can tell a great story even in a genre different from her normal one. Great job!
The first chapter of this book had me really freaked out. I actually heard a noise in the kitchen while I was reading and I lurched out of bed with fright!
The book kept me hooked all the way through. Lot's of subplots and interesting characters. I enjoyed the intrigue and suspense.
I'd recommend this book to anyone who's ever wondered about the end of the world, the book of Revelations, or Aliens.
The book has a really interesting take on Satan. I'm still thinking about it, so that tells me it was a worthwhile read!
*** End of the review has a spoiler just FYI for those who would prefer not to know. And sorry but I'm not a very good review writer honestly. My mind and thoughts get away with me during the reading process and by the time I finish the review is not how I pictured it but still portrays my thoughts of the book.
Return of the Aliens definitely caught me by surprise. I'm not going to lie, I didn't even read the description of what the book was about so I was definitely surprised by the story but enjoyed it so much. And it is a definite recommend. Now for the story we have Aliens/Demons and Angels with God. This story is literally the battle between Demons and Angels. Everyone knows Demons want to take over the earth and try everything they can to do so. This story follows a fight between the two. You have people vanishing and others not knowing where they went or if they are even still alive. You have Aliens and what people call the Greys. People don't like the Greys but feel the Aliens are safe when in reality they are working with the Greys all along. One earth you have people following the Aliens and people who refuse the Aliens, Super people and the Aliens themselves and all of them are fighting. Now I don't want to give away the details of the story so I won't touch on the main characters but I love how the earth in the end is portrayed as a paradise really. At least that's how I see it. But most importantly it's portrayed as the bible has it with people living on earth with all evil removed. Yes I've just given away the ending but what can I say, I loved the book and everything about it.
This was so enjoyable. Yes, it is loosely based on the Tribulation period told of in the Bible. Yes, they took great poetic license. But I do love me some good sci-fi....and NO cursing!!! Though there are too many folks who don't believe there's A real God, this story does lead one to know that you will have to choose a side....sooner or later. My hope and prayer is that you choose wisely.
I really enjoyed this book. It can seem a little gruesome when reading about what the demons were doing to people, but I think the author actually did a good job dealing with it . If more people were afraid of demons and what they can do, maybe they'd get saved. I look forward to reading more by this author.
The story and plot I found was so interesting. The characters had me holding my breathe. I wanted them to have a happy ending. If you like the bible this is the book for you.
This story was so scary. I didn't know this author wrote stories like this. I thought she just wrote cute romances. There were so many scary parts I had to stop and put the book down, calm down, then continue reading. Worth reading.
This has some very interesting takes on Biblical prophecy, the war in the Heavenlies, and how things appear to those left behind. It was hard to put down. Recommended.
The story is predictable yet entertaining. I liked the ‘X-Files’ style suspense, mystery, and thrills. Once the ending battle came, it left a lot to be desired. Personally, I would not have given this story a happy ending. I was primed for utter destruction. I give Ruth Ann Nordin applause for her highly originally creative idea of aliens who come to Earth, who are disguised angels and demons with hidden intentions to reclaim Earth from humans. This story while good enough to keep me reading, it does however have me wondering at the same time why am I reading this. Then something spectacular will happen (aliens, Area 51, listening devices, Annunaki the builders of the pyramids, being under constant surveillance/monitored, Nephilim, and the great deception), until you find yourself at the end. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone to read, however if SyFy or a local network made a movie I would tell everyone to watch and to set their DVRs!
Oh my! What a huge difference from any of the other books by Ruth Ann Nordin!
So, I had no idea what to expect. And how do you classify this book? Start with Sci-fi, I guess...
I can see conspiracy theory buffs getting a "I told you so," and it can really make you think about what might REALLY have happened during different events in history.
I haven't read the "left behind" series, but part way through, I got to thinking I may want to try it...
Very enjoyable book. I love that you get to understand the main characters so well, understanding their motivations for their actions and learn the fate of each of them.
Not sure if this book's for you, try the free sample before buying, though you still won't really understand what's going on. If you care to continue, buy the book.
Got this as a freebe on nook it started out as booklets until the fifth chapter and she decided to finish the book then I had to pay for the book because I was aready sucked in this book is like The Stand and also the left behind series
I loved this book. Very interesting subject matter. I would reccommend this book to people who have an open mind about religon, and like conspiracy theories!
