First-hand account of the punk wars from guitarist and one half of the songwriting duo that gave the world three chord punk-pop classics like "Ever Fallen In Love" and "Promises". Diggle dishes the dirt on punk contemporaries like The Sex Pistols, The Clash and The Jam, as well as sharing poignant memories of his friendship with Kurt Cobain, on whose last ever tour, The Buzzcocks were the support act.
While this is without a doubt a quick and interesting read anyone will quickly realize that there was most likely little to no editing done to it and it really shows. It doesn't take away from the funny, sad and wild stories Steve has to tell, but the book certainly had more potential. Don't expect a full on Buzzcocks history either. Good book, but could have been much better.
