Rate this book
Elementary and middle schoolers will love the exciting, easy-to-understand, and easily taught lessons in the God's Design textbooks by Debbie and Richard Lawrence. All twelve books in the God's Design series are very comprehensive, richly illustrated, and cover material that is often left out of other curricula. You'll love the flexibility of this popular series, which is designed to be used with students ranging from first through eighth grade ... all at the same time!

Best of all, God's Design textbooks help you teach science from a biblical, creationist perspective, emphasizing God's handiwork in the world around us. Using the God's Design curriculum from AiG will help strengthen your student's faith by showing how science consistently supports the Bible's written record. Students will learn to think critically and logically examine arguments presented by all sides in the creation/evolution debate.

Learn how to measure and classify matter, to identify solids, liquids, and gases, and use the scientific method to explore solutions and mixtures.

Three stars because its not the only chemistry book you'd want or need; but for what it does do, it does well. Which is a short, easy to understand, definition of multiple very simple chemistry vocabulary words and a correlated experiment. Its a little dry or boring due to the limited scope of vocabulary chosen; metric system, buoyancy, gases, suspension and so forth. There is a good chapter on food chemistry and additives and what genetically modified means. I know definitions are a necessary component; and this is a user friendly book that gets that job done. Simple, short, pleasantly laid out. Experiments with stuff common to every house. Its just not a good stand alone chemistry text. I'm glad I also got The Elements Book by DK publishing and Exploring Creation with Chemistry and Physics by Fulbright(Apologia Publishing). The 3 together are getting the job done well for our elementary home school needs.
