Janet grew up in the wide open spaces of rural Montana and now lives in the urban spaces of Pasadena, California. She's used both of these locations in her books. Her Dry Creek, Montana series numbers over twenty novels now and her Pasadena books, The Sisterhood of the Dropped Stitches, number four.

A quick love inspired read. It was cute and fun but not may favorite.
Lizette moves to a small town where she is given a free building to set up her ballet studio. There is a slight mixup because her last name is Baker they think she is a baker. There is a bit of push back with the ballet studio being started but then a little girl sees the costumes and she gets her uncle, Judd, and the whole community to help put on a Nutcracker ballet.
Cute but probably won't read again.

This was my second book by this author. The first one didn't quite cut it for me, Dry Creek Sweetheart, so I stopped at about page, 100. If I didn't already have another one of her books, I may not have read another, but I did. This one was much better. I really connected with the characters and liked them. It was also a good story, though a little corny.

I just may pick up another from the, Dry Creek Series.

Cute quick read. 2 children needing distraction from unsettling life with an abusive father...they were left with their cousin for a few days..which ended up being months. Their distraction was Ballet lessons in a Cowboy town in Montana.

Due to a mixup, the town of Dry Creek be leaved they were getting a baker. Instead, they were getting A well trained and beautiful dancer who wanted to open her own studio. The ranchers and Cowboys greeted this news with consternation since they really just wanted some home baked pies, cakes, and other goodies. With some help from God and from some kind neighbors, the dancer found a way to win over the ranchers and Cowboys, and the town did get its bakery.
