An enjoyable one hour read.

I’ve never heard of Jane Packer before renting this library book, but she is apparently an accomplished English florist.

Two words I’d use to describe her style are bold and large. She loves using oversized vases with bright shrubbery.

Here are a list of all the flowers she used in designs that are NEW to me:

Statice
Dendrobium orchids
Blue cornflowers
Chocolate cosmos
Globe artichokes—they have a purple bloom in the center! So cool.

I liked this book and recommend it for a quick read that doesn’t take too much concentration to enjoy.

Great flower arrangement inspiration. Beautiful pieces that really resonated with me!

Take aways: 3 kinds of flowers at once is about right; own lots of vases (which they all say and I never quite manage because I am a cheapskate); freshen the water and cut the stems; put flowers everywhere
