The Global Currency Plot: How the Deep State Will Betray Your Freedom, and How to Prevent It

Rate this book
If you want to understand what is really happening in politics and in the international monetary system, you have to read this book!

Money today is a political tool. To understand the implications of this, you first have to understand the agenda of those who wield political power. The political trend for decades has been toward democratic socialism, with its abhorrence of markets and its love of the planned economy. Its continued success must worry anyone who desires freedom and prosperity.

The Global Currency Plot puts socialism to a rigorous test of logic and finds it wanting. Polleit offers an antidote to democratic socialism and its monetary conquest—the private law society with a free market for money.

The book is primarily intended for the noneconomist, but it will appeal to anyone who seeks answers to the political trends and economic news of today. With clear logic Thorsten Polleit shows in this important work the aims and ways in which democratic socialism moves toward a globally planned state, dominated by a “nomenclatura.” With convincing logic he also presents the free market economy as a superior alternative. A fascinating book!

—H.S.H. Prince Michael of Liechtenstein

Is there a connection between political centralization, mass immigration and the quest for a common currency? Yes. Thorsten Polleit exposes with captivating logic the destructive power of democratic socialism, its tools and its aspirations for world domination. Both an enlightening and cautionary book. Essential reading!

Polleit goes into the economic weeds with this one. It is a very erudite examination of different currencies and various attempts to create a global currency, theoretically or in actuality, which would ensure reliable fixed exchange rates. This would involve nation-states giving up monetary sovereignty by transferring funds to a global central bank (the Global Bank of Issue). The tendency in democracies is to lean toward oligarchy at some point in history, and a global currency would assist in the elevation of a small group of elites who would rule over the masses, as the next logical step after the elitist control over currency is to create a one-world government. It is highly doubtful that this would occur in the near-term, but it should be a concern for future generations.

This is a very dense 160 page book. It’s based on fundamental concepts in logic and economics that are handed down from the Austrian school. Anyone familiar with that literature will love it. If you’re at Econ 101 level, you should be able to grasp the fundamental message in each chapter, but be prepared for a paradigm shift.

I would have rated the book higher if it didn’t have the worst title in publishing history. “The Global Currency Plot” sounds like some goofy conspiracy theory or a bad spy novel. It’s actually a detailed presentation of good economic sense meant to show the reader that the world is heading toward a single fiat currency unless people wake up and see how much of a disaster that would be.

What was at the beginning of the book an explanation in simplistic terms became very deep and hard to follow at the end. Do we want a one world one monied currency on planet earth? Will it work? This writer thinks not but as time proceeds the liberal Socialism storm continues to grow in strength. That is the current bipolarization in America based on right and left fighting out their particular beliefs.
