The 60D is Canon's new, sophisticated yet affordable advanced dSLR, featuring 18 megapixel resolution, an articulated color LCD, super fast continuous shooting frame rates, and an advanced exposure metering system. As the owner of the Canon EOS 60D you demand the ability to take outstanding pictures with your new camera, and want to learn how quickly. DAVID BUSCH'S CANON EOS 60D GUIDE TO DIGITAL SLR PHOTOGRAPHY shows you how, when, and most importantly why, to use all the cool features, controls, and functions of the 60D to take great photographs of anything. Introductory chapters will help you get comfortable with the basics of your camera before you dive right into exploring creative ways to apply flash synchronization options, choose a lens, and fine-tune exposure. Beautiful, full-color images illustrate where the essential buttons and dials are, so you'll quickly learn how to use your 60D, and use it like a pro!
Solid companion book to the skimpy user manual. Goes into some depth with the amazing number of features available with the 60D. Has the odd detour, like several pages on storyboarding a movie(?), but more than a rote feature by feature discussion.
Most of this book is obviously copied and pasted from other Busch books and the 60D specific information is still so generic that one wonders if the author has even used the camera. Still, like all books of its ilk it is good for reference and it is far more complete than the Canon user manual.
A well written, easy to follow book with a fine level of detail. The author makes this rather complicated piece of equipment much easier to use. If you want to learn how to use a 60D, this is the book to get.
