A charming book, informed by the author’s extensive experience. The message is: be nice, be kind, love and respect your child with autism.

Indeed, a primer for a complete newbie: for the first two thirds of the book, the author simply reminds the reader that the child is a person (just like the reader) and should be treated as such (as equal) even if expectations need to be adjusted for age, size, etc. The rest, however, is most pertinent to the condition. A good start. A good read.
