This was a very strange book, but at the same time very interesting. Each of the stories follows a character (you - they are all told in second person perspective) who seems to develop some sort of deep psychological obsession in pursuit of their goals. Whether it be a lost coat, the development of the perfect singing voice, or becoming the most daring lion-tamer in the world, these characters' journeys are extremely uncomfortable to read, and the endings seem to smack you in the face with finality.
Nonetheless, the writing is really quite nice, and I'm sure there are some lessons to be learned from the outcomes of each tale.
