I would advise readers to read the books in order. It's probably because I didn't read book one, but at first I was lost in the sea of characters and I couldn't tell who was who besides Shay, her children, Allie, and the main characters.
This is a classic casual relationship to forever story. While I am usually a sucker for these, there was something missing for me. Though the chemistry between Van and Lexi is undeniable, what I like most is feeling the characters catching feelings. That wasn't the case here. There were no real scenes showing it, except for the weekend getaway. It is mainly announced by the characters or in conversations with other characters. So it felt superficial.
"Absotively posilutely" was supposed to be cute, but the overuse (32 times!) almost made me want to pull my hair out each time I saw it.
Another point: it was a shame that the talk between Van and her mother happens off-scene since her relationship with her parents played a huge part in her one-night stand only principle. It was a key scene to me and I wished I could witness it.

Even with a sweet ending starting from the weekend getaway, Lexi's cup of tea wasn't my cup of tea.

Sweet and a little naïve. Steamy in the right places. Feels like a sequel.
This book is mostly fun. I enjoyed reading it. The characters are great but their arc is not so much. It's not that they don't develop but rather their development is chaotic and not always reasonable.
I had an issue with the conflict. Supposedly, Van had an agreement with her mom, then she just said they don't talk about it, and then all of a sudden her mom became very accepting. While this is not far-fetched, I found it to be poorly executed from a reader's perspective.

On the bright side, I must point out that the steamy sex scenes were completely justified by the plot and drove it forward in a manner quite rare for romance novels. I loved that these scenes had a role of their own and were necessary for the story.

T&T:
Tropes: butch-femme, Southern Girl vs. Aussie chick, one night stand to forever (ok, one month stand), coming out
Triggers: unsupportive family (or the feeling of lack of support), a LOT of alcohol consumption throughout the book, infidelity

After a few introductory scenes moving Lexi from Australia to Tennessee, Lexi's Cup of Tea: A Worlds Apart Romance begins with a casual sex arrangement between Lexi and Tennessee native Van. The relationship evolves slowly, with each woman reluctant to admit anything to the other. Unfortunately, this developing emotional connection is more tell-me than show-me, which may leave the reader less invested in the outcome. The eventual result is several paragraphs of excessive melodrama at the 98 percent mark followed by a one-year-later Epilogue. While the romance is underwhelming, there is a full cast of likeable supporting characters who provide both advice and comic relief. Overall, this is a decent tale with the anticipated HEA.

Mmmmm.....Enjoy

I enjoyed this series so far and amazed that the MC's had less steamy action displayed. Strong support from loved ones, but one fatal bad, influenced decision ,almost cost Van her woman. Rolercoaster emotions, but oh so funny in the mix. Cant wait to see what Amber has instore for us.

A very sweet story about a holiday romance. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
All characters were likeable.
It was also nice catching up with some from book 1.

Amazing

To be able to trust and be vulnerable is the basis of great love. It leads towards one’s Happily ever after.
