After a health scare, Gwen is told to slow down and take care of herself. Yeah, that’s an issue since she hasn’t the first clue how to do that. Then an old friend suggests a trip to Wishingbone, Montana. And that’s where she meets him. Dominic. Charming. Gorgeous. Protective. She never expected to find him . . . and now she has no idea how to live without him.
After losing his wife, Dominic never thought he’d find love again. He had his job, his friends, and that was enough. Or so he thought. Then a quirky, sweet girl walked into his life, stirring his Daddy instincts. And nothing will be the same again.
Can this gorgeous, gray-haired Daddy protect his girl while she heals his heart?
Laylah loves reading, but she particularly loves a good romance with some seriously alpha men. Protective, possessive men with large hearts. Writing has become her passion and she hopes her readers enjoy her stories as much as she does writing them.
Reading this was a mistake, I thought it would be cute, and it was, until it wasn’t. When the bottles came out and the training pants went on (to an adult) Kristina left the building.
DNF 65%, no rating on account of this just not being my thing.
I swear,Wishingbone,Montana has got to have something in the water…. Because the men that live there are so very special,so caring and nurturing, but at the same time stern when needed! So,when i heard Dominic was getting a story of his own,i knew i needed to read it. That man deserves a Little of his own to brighten up his life,to make him as happy as everyone around him. Getting the ARC was a treat i couldn’t say no to,and when you read it you’ll understand why.
Having lost his sweet wife Jane 12 years ago,Dominic has never found another woman that could fill the void she’d left in his life. But the woman he found sitting in her car by the side of the road stirred something…. And every time he bumped into her after, she seemed to awaken more and more of him. Making him want to cuddle and protect her from every bad thing that seemed to happen to her. In the present…..as well as the past, because he could see the pain in her eyes.
After getting a healthscare,Gwen was told by her best friend Reuben she needed to investigate a certain man in Wishingbone for him. That man had insulted his sister Juliet, and since she’d just quit her job at the lawfirm she’d been working, she had plenty of time on her hands…. Reuben was adamant that it had nothing to do with the fact that her doctor said she should take it easy,or the fact she’d scared the bejeezus out of him. No,sir. Nothing at all. Or the fact that he cared about her, unlike everyone else in her life…. But the first man she met when she arrived at Wishingbone didn’t lower her high blood pressure at all… And why did he have to be so damn sweet all the time? Couldn’t he see that she wasn’t used to people doing nice things for her?
While these two were getting closer, there still was the matter of that rude man. He had a restaurant, but the way he treated her when she tried to eat there, was not like it should be. So,what was going on there, and how could she find out?
Gwen was the perfect Little for Dominic! She was loyal, funny and caring, even if she had a bad selfimage. Being neglected in her youth, being talked down by her boss, had done a number on her. She’d been fighting to be acknowledged all her life, and all it gave her was a high blood pressure. She knew things had to change, but she was scared to get hurt, and still she took that leap of faith.
That bad selfimage was something her Dom Dom could fix,and he wasted no time in starting to do exactly that. The fact that he was 55 meant he wasn’t going to waste any time to get what he wanted, not when he knew for sure it was what they both needed. He tried to give her time, but with everything that happened to her,his patience ran out. And even then he gave her options, even then he was gentle and sweet. Being the one she could lean on,the one she could trust to make everything ok.
This was a sweet story, one i enjoyed from start to finish. One that brought a smile to my face, even if it made me sad at times….
4.8 stars. *swoon* Dominic is an absolute dreamboat. Seriously. He’s charming, and sweet, and funny, and totally has a filthy mouth. The perfect combination. And Gwen is so perfect for him.
I just really loved this book. Seeing their relationship bloom, and Dom start healing Gwen of her self doubt…so freaking satisfying and heartwarming. Plus Gwen was freaking adorably hilarious.
I loved everything about this. The kink was done so well, and we got a tiny bit of light primal play at the end that was so fun. The humor had me cackling the entire time. (Especially that cute ‘mission’ at the end…I suspect there’s gonna be a novella coming up where we see some consequences for that little stunt..)
As always, I’m ecstatic to have read it, and devastated that I read it so damn fast and there’s not more to devour.
Wishingbone, MT is a DD/lg town and Gwen the latest person to fall for its doms charms. Note: Many characters from previous books appear and Dominic is a widower; this doesn't bother me, but I know it does others.
As another reviewer noted, I, too, liked this better than several recent ones. I really appreciated that in a genre fixated on youth (and I mean chronological age, not lifestyle age), Dominic and Gwen were an older couple. The under-developed Dominic is a dream boyfriend, which is great for the relationship, less so for a climatic plot. Gwen's completely unbelievable as a lawyer, but this series invests in the too-quirky, no-filter, barely competent, Book-of-Job damsel in distress. That said, she isn't the complete walking disaster the last few MFCs have been.
3 1/2 stars. As always, I enjoyed the humor and appreciated emphases on consent. I hope Reuben gets the next book. Blow out Breath tracker: 8.
Quick Summary Daddy Dom/Professional bodyguard, Dominic, and workaholic Little, Gwen, instantly click and together explore a DD/lg dynamic. We get a few cameos of Wishingbone residents, we have a mystery to solve, some baddies to catch and a lot of sweet moments of building self esteem, reinforcing confidence, body acceptance and just plain loving between two cute consenting adults.
~ My Thoughts ~ I really did enjoy this one. Lately I've been feeling a disconnect to LR books but I'm happy that this one felt more like the original Montana Daddy books that I first fell in love with.
Dominic is a widower (which is usually a pet peeve of mine but LR did a fantastic job of showing you that his past, although painful, was in the past.) when he meets Gwen, there is an instant attraction he feels, something he hasn't felt in a long time. With each run in he has with Gwen, the more drawn he is to her. Knowing how short life can be, Dom sets out to pursue her and it was entertaining and sweet to watch Gwen open herself up to him.
The mystery wasn't central to the story until almost the end but again it held my attention and added a little extra to the overall story. There was quiet a few red herrings which kept me on my toes!
Overall a great addition to this series that was starting to slow down a great deal for me.
Fave/Memorable Moments The cute Little Intro at the window where all the Ranch Littles say hi to Gwen had me smiley and I loved the code names in Operation Get-rid-of-the-punishment-book :) It was silly but wholesome fun between new Little friends.
Hope OTT Reuben and Broody Remy get their own stories soon!
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. (Spoiler-y) Info :
Daddy Dominic by Laylah Roberts was another fabulous read. I really love her Montana Daddies series. I enjoyed Gwen being an older Little. Books with older Littles are probably my favorite. Dominic was a perfect Daddy. The author had me at "salt and pepper beard and lines around his eyes ". Double Kudos!
Nothing like coming home....that's exactly what each Laylah Roberts book is like for me.
We pick up with an old friend, someone we met along the way and finally get to dig in deep.
And like so many others in this series Dominic and Gwen also tie in to other characters and bring more side stories to us....I'm looking at you Reuben!!
I really enjoyed that this was a later in life romance, two mature adults who had life, loss, and struggles under their belts. I felt like it gave us a different viewpoint to read from.
The underlying DDlg dynamic was threaded throughout the book, subtler than most of Laylah's books perhaps but I think for this book and this couple it was warranted. Gwen had so much going on that we already had a full book.
I LOVED Keisha being tied in....she's always a riot. Comic relief, that girl 🤣 And the ranch Littles were just the sweetest and sassy accomplices too!
I'm sad to say goodbye again to the Montana Daddies series, but I know we'll be back and Laylah will make the wait worth it.
Gwen is in Wishingbone on a spying mission for Her Best Friend Ruben .Ruben really sent her there so she could recover from a health scare but Gwen aka Andy has no idea of Rubens motive .Dominic is entering the town of Wishingbone and sees a sports car parked not quite on the side of the road the woman inside is having a panic attack and He tries to help ,something about this woman brings out his protective instincts. They seem to constantly cross paths until they both realize they need each other it was fun watching them fall in Love. I Loved that Gwen is an older little and their Love Story is Beautiful
BUT!!! Reuben’s appearance had me screaming! I cannot wait for his story!!
~After a health scare, Gwen is sent to Wishingbone for a much needed relaxing break. Dominic wasn’t sure he was ready for another little girl to cherish until he meets a sweet redhead with a lead foot.~
I loved the intros to the new characters that I’m sure we’ll see more of in future books! Especially Remy and Isa.. so so cute! I would die for Loki’s story!!
"Daddy Dominic" by Laylah Roberts is a heartfelt exploration of love, healing, and the unexpected beauty of second chances, wrapped in the tender embrace of a Daddy Dom romance. If you're like me and have a soft spot for Daddy Dom romances, especially those set against the backdrop of a picturesque ranch with rugged cowboys who are as tough as they are tender, then this book will steal your heart.
The story kicks off with Gwen, a woman who's been pushing herself to the brink, only to face a health scare that forces her to reevaluate her life. But how does someone who's always been on the go suddenly learn to slow down? Enter Wishingbone, Montana—a quaint town that seems to hold the promise of peace and a new beginning. Little did Gwen know, it also held Dominic.
Dominic is everything you'd want in a Daddy Dom: charming, protective, and impossibly gorgeous, with that irresistible touch of gray that signals both wisdom and a life well-lived. Having lost his wife, Dominic has been living a life of quiet contentment, convincing himself that his job and friends are enough. But Gwen changes everything. From the moment she walks into his life, his dormant Daddy instincts roar to life, and he's faced with a love he never thought he'd find again.
What makes "Daddy Dominic" stand out is the way Roberts weaves together the themes of healing and protection. Dominic is not just a romantic hero; he's a man with scars of his own, and Gwen is the light that begins to heal them. Their relationship is a beautiful dance of vulnerability and strength, with Dominic's natural instincts to care for his little shining through in every interaction.
The setting of Sanctuary Ranch adds an extra layer of warmth to the story. The cowboys who inhabit this world aren't just backdrops; they’re integral to the community that supports and nurtures both Dominic and Gwen. They’re the embodiment of everything you could hope for in a cowboy—strong, supportive, and with hearts as big as the Montana sky.
As Dominic and Gwen navigate their way through their personal challenges, the romance that blossoms between them is both sweet and intense. Laylah Roberts excels at capturing the nuances of a Daddy Dom relationship, making the connection between Dominic and Gwen feel organic and deeply satisfying.
"Daddy Dominic" is more than just a romance; it's a story about finding the courage to love again, even when life has taken its toll. For those who adore Daddy Dom romances with a side of cowboy charm, this book is an absolute must-read. Dominic will capture your heart, and by the end, you'll be wishing for your own Sanctuary Ranch—a place where love, protection, and healing go hand in hand.
Daddy Dominic is the fourteenth installment in Laylah Roberts’ Montana Daddies series. In it, she chronicles the second chance at love romance between Gwendolyn “Gwen” Anderson and Dominic Brand as readers return to the country town of Wishingbone. Gwen is sent to Wishingbone on a secret mission for Reuben Jones, the powerful brother of Juliet. Reuben and Gwen are best friends. Their relationship is familial. Gwen’s high stress job and life in New York gave her a medical scare and Reuben decides she nees to find a Daddy. Wishingbone is the place to do so. When she runs into Dominic, who works for Jensen Security International. When they meet there is an immediate reaction. Although Dominic guarded his heart after losing his wife, Gwen seems to break down his walls. Will Gwen and Dominic connect? Can she break down the walls around his heart? Will a city girl be able to adjust to life in Wishingbone? What effect will her secret mission have on the outcome? To find out you must read this delightfully entertaining romance.
Once again Ms. Roberts does a swell job with this age-play romance. The descriptive language paints vivid and at times comical scenes. The dialog, both conversational and internal monologues, helps readers to glean a deeper understanding of the two dynamic lead characters. Also, the dialog between the lead characters and supporting characters, like Kiesha, left me in stitches. The pranks that Keisha plays on Sheriff Ed made me laugh. This book, like the others in this series, was entertaining and captured my attention. Well done, Ms. Roberts.
Love the fact that this story features an older heroine (45) and an older hero (54). Both have life experience, have had to overcome loss and live with pleasures, as well as form friendships, deal with less than pleasantness and create a new future. Andy (Gwen)'s story hits home in a big way - the fight for women in the workforce is alive. Prepare to LOL - Wishingbone is the town with the "population unknown due to the breeding like crazy rabbits" sign.
A wonderful addition to the Montana Daddies series, great characters and scenario
Gwen has worked for people that have needed help to defend them when they have been in trouble and have bee brought before the courts, she had worked with others in her company and had been promised over the years that her long hours and her excellent results would mean that she would be promoted.
Unfortunately, however this was not the case and her boss who she had always known could not be trusted had simply giver her promotion to a male colleague and it had not been because he was more experienced or had better results but simply because she had been female and this had been the last insult.
Now as a favour for her and only friend Reuben who was a Daddy Dom and was spending as much time as he could ensuring that Gwen was taking better care of herself since her health scare so he had asked her is she would go and visit the town where his sister lived, help him to find out why David Davidson a recent restaurant entrepreneur had been bad mouthing his sister Juliet.
She had also since arriving at Wishingbone had discovered how strange the inhabitants were but how very much they all cared for each other and it was fair to say that she had also met quite a few people since playing in the Thursday night quiz, they were honest and they were friendly and always game for a laugh.
Then she had also met Dominic who had been making it his personal challenge to ensure that she was taking proper care of herself, eating and sleeping and not putting herself at risk by speeding or by trying to ride a bike and this is what Gwen realised she was actually enjoying, especially since she had also discovered that Dominic was a Daddy Dom and she just knew that they had something special happening if she only had a little faith.
I guarantee that you like me will carry on loving every single one of the wonderful inhabitants that live in Wishingbone and I am sure that like me you will find yourself finding it difficult to put this book down until you reach the end and discover the outcome.
As always you will be left looking forward to future books in this series and written by the immensely entertaining author Laylah Roberts.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
Daddy Dominic is the 14th book in Laylah Roberts' Montana Daddies series, a series I've become seriously addicted to. I very much liked the fact that in this novel, Ms. Roberts featured an older, middle-aged hero and heroine, Dominic (Dom-Dom) and Gwen. Dom is 54, and Gwen is 45. She's an overworked, stressed-out lawyer who just quit her job at a prestigious law firm in NYC after a younger, less experienced man was promoted instead of her. Her boss repeatedly made nasty remarks about her looks, her weight, etc. and made it clear that the only way she'd earn a promotion was on her back. I'm so glad Ms. Roberts included what all too often happens to women in male-dominiated businesses. As if her work situation wasn't stressful enough, it's always seemed to Gwen that her parents never appreciated or approved of her either.
Gwen's best friend, Reuben Jones, decides she needs a break from the hectic pace of city life, especially after she collapsed and was hospitalized where the doctors discovered that she had dangerously high blood pressure, needed to slow down, rest, relax, eat a healthier diet and exercise. So, Reuben sends her on a mission to Wishingbone, Montana, home to Sanctuary Ranch where many of the Daddy Doms and their Littles live, to check on his sister, Juliet, who was ill-treated by a local restauranteur.
While en route, after a couple of speeding tickets and a panic attack, Dominic Brand, a passing motorist, stops to offer Gwen aid, and although she doesn't want his help and eventually flees, he finds himself attracted to the sassy redhead, and that's just the first of her encounters with this sexy Daddy Dom. Although Gwen doesn't consider herself a Little, Dominic senses that she is, and once you meet her, you'll see it too. And when she finds herself at the local watering hole for Quiz Night and meets Kiesha, who starts calling her Pit Bull, this novel becomes laugh out loud funny, and the complicated plot really takes off.
There's plenty of action, mystery, drama, and laughs to follow, and although I wished for a longer, more fully fleshed-out epilogue, this novel was a joy to read, and it earned 5 stars from this reader.
I voluntarily read an author-supplied advance reader copy of this novels. The opinions expressed are my own.
Okay, I know everyone wants Reuben’s story…and I know why. I officially want it too. But we’re here to talk about Gwen and Dom.
I really enjoyed this book. I liked that it was a bit shorter so we got more action and less exposition. Not that I mind more detail in Laylah’s books, I just think the pacing on this one was really great. I liked the community atmosphere in Wishingbone and Sanctuary. I loved seeing so many Sanctuary littles…particularly given that we don’t see the ranch as often anymore.
I like the idea of Gwen being an older little. As in, a woman in her thirties, not an older little or middle. But my issue is that her characterizations didn’t feel older. She felt like the same kind of little we usually get. She’s the awesome ball busting lawyer in her NYC life apparently, but she reads like she’s in her early twenties…tops. The way her mind works doesn’t scream grown woman who’s taken care of herself for most of her life and worked her way up in male dominated world. Sure, she says that’s the case at times, but she doesn’t act like it. At least not in my opinion.
Laylah has written older littles who actually read like older women. I just don’t feel like Gwen is one of them. If I wasn’t told that she’s as old as she is, I wouldn’t believe it. I don’t necessarily think that’s a bad thing. I really like Gwen. I just felt like she kept getting put into a box because of her age, but she didn’t ever actually act her age. Even before she was willing to embrace her little. And I don’t think that’s just because of childhood trauma.
Heads up - TW - the heroine does get attacked in this book and a lot of it is on page. It’s not much more intense than the altercations usually in Laylah Roberts books, but I think it should be noted.
Overall, do I recommend this book? Absolutely. I will always recommend every single book this author writes from now until forever. I don’t think I could say that this is a new favorite of mine. But it’s definitely a fun read and it truly gives a wonderful look into the beloved Montana Daddies family. Four stars. Two chili peppers. Enjoy!
What an emotional experience this book was by Ms. Roberts. Her stories are innovative, creative, and full of heart and soul. Gwen and Dominic’s story is an example of Roberts Roberts at her best. I have enjoyed all of the books in this series with it's quirky characters, but this book has now become the one to beat. I was kept on my toes by the many twists and turns that added intrigue, danger, romance, and finding love when least expected. I would have liked to know more about the relationship between Gwen and Rueben.
Gwen was an enigma. On the one hand, she was independent, feisty, and quick with a retort, but life had been tough, leaving her vulnerable with a self-esteem that was in tatters thanks to her parents and ex-colleagues. Gwen needed to make changes to improve her poor health. Trying to escape one emotional wave after another left her overwhelmed. This is where Rueben comes riding in to save the day. The people of Wishingbone asked no questions and claimed Gwen as one of their own Keisha returns with her crazy ideas and her roller-skating antics. Talk about a hoot. Gwen never expected or was comfortable enough to call a man Daddy until Dominic entered her life. He gained her trust little by little until she was able to call him Daddy. Gwen did not find danger in Wishingbone but danger found her.
Oh, My!! Who wouldn't want a daddy like Dominic? He was protective, loving, and firm, and encouraged Gwen to live out her dreams. He was like a dog with a bone when it came to Gwen’s health and well-being. He comforted her and held her through her nightmares, punished her when needed, and showered her with love. I admired him for his warmth, strength, and compassion. When Gwen’s life was in danger he was a force to be reckoned with.
What a great story. It was fast-paced, action-packed, and full of danger. Fans of Ms. Roberts will love this book.
Good God above, how is every FMC in everyone of this authors books suddenly the exact same? Layla Roberts used to write unique and different lead characters, and at this point she’s still doing an ok job with the lead MMC…..the women are whiny, cringey, grating, have zero self awareness, and are just flat out annoying. I can’t stand them anymore where I actually used to like them. It’s so bad at one point the FMC gets beat up and that was my favorite part….someone smacking this idiot around like I wanted to. That’s how terrible this wrote by numbers, grating character was….I was actually jealous of the person smacking her.
For this series as a whole I started with the first 5-6 books and they were all ok reads….nothing to write home about, but I’d read happily. Somewhere along the line every FMC turned into the exact same aggravating and irritating moron. I just started skipping dozens of pages at a time, the steam/sexy time factor is non existent…..and somehow this has carried over to all her different series. It’s so bad that for Rubens story, and I loved him, I skipped every page the FMC was on, which her name isn’t important enough to remember, Gwen, Keisha, blossom, cat, what effing ever they’re the same horrid person, and then I stopped entirely at about 36 %. This book was the same thing. I loved Dominic, but the grating FMC I skipped pages of….id give it zero stars if I could
- no. 14 in the Montana Daddies series! age gap, age play, instalove, daddy k!nk! - FMC is 45 and MMC is 56 if that’s not your thing! but they’re both lovely and super sweet - your girl has been waiting for her fix of Laylah Roberts lemme tell you - i LOVE that this is Reubon’s best friend!! - a Dom who is named Dom, sure why not - this one doesn’t have a lot of dilly dallying which i appreciate - much more fast paced then some of her other books! - GREAT sex scenes - this is so instalove it hurts 😂 - she’s getting kidnapped at some point just you watch - i wrote that ^^ and then 4 pages later she was kidnapped lmaooooo - she got beat up proper on the page!! Laylah doesn’t normally do that! - Reubon i love you and i am (not so patiently) waiting for your book - Dominic really took the nurse her back to health trope seriously like damn - i wish there were more interactions between all the girls at sanctuary - it’s just very cute and fluffy and i am a big old fan of it - these will just always be my comfort books, they’re so ridiculous but i LOVE THEM - ah good Liv made another appearance i was worried that story line was just forgotten (you do feel sorry for her even tho yannoe she tried to kill Gwen) - the tiniest bit of primal play?? okayyyyy - a very cute epilogue!!
Whewwww 😮💨 “Daddy Dominic” was EVERYTHING I needed and didn’t know I was missing!! 🥵👅💦 Gwen is stressed, overwhelmed, and fresh off a health scare when she ends up in small-town Wishingbone, Montana 🏞️—and baby, that’s where she meets HIM 😍… Dominic. Silver fox. Protective. Commanding. Built like your favorite fantasy 🧔🏽♂️💪🏽 and sweet as warm honey on a cold night 🍯❄️.
He’s got the perfect mix of stern Daddy Dom 🖤 and soft comforter vibes 🧸. Their chemistry? 🔥🔥🔥 And don’t get me started on how he takes care of her 😫🫠—emotionally, physically, ALL the ways. She’s his second chance at love and he treats her like a fragile gift with a filthy little twist 🎁😈.
Montana Daddies #14 did not disappoint—this was a slow-burn turned spicy ride with big feels, bigger arms, and that signature Laylah Roberts magic ✨👢. Now where do I sign up for a trip to Sanctuary Ranch? 🐴💋
This is a great addition to the Montana Daddies series and I loved that Gwen and Dominic are older. Roberts is the best writer of Little’s dialogue and this is a great example of such writing. She has created Gwen’s character with no filter on what she says and almost always vocalizes what she is thinking, which is usually hilarious and sometimes inappropriate. I love that Dominic sees Gwen as a beautiful woman with a Little side that he wants to nurture. I loved Gwen’s character throughout the story but especially when she was in Little headspace. Gwen is attacked and left for dead and and at this point her best friend Reuben appears again and arrives on the scene to save her. I love Reuben’s character as he is over protective of Gwen and ready to ruin or destroy anyone who hurts her. The writing is so graphic that you can picture in your mind the events as they occur. I also like that the Little’s from previous stories make appearance throughout the book. This is a great story that I loved and would highly recommend. I received a free copy of this book via Bookfunnel and are voluntarily leaving a review.
Daddy Dominic is book fourteen of the Montana Daddies series of interconnected standalones. I swear this series gets better and better with each new book! This is the series that got me into daddy dom books and is still my favorite! I read this in less than a day and it got me out of my longest reading slump! The thing I loved most about Dominic and Gwen’s story is that they are older main characters. Gwen is forty-five and Dom is fifty-four. It just shows that you are never too old to find true love…and it was nice to read about characters that are in my age range! Like all of Laylah’s characters, we get the alpha male that is a protector and cinnamon roll. And Gwen is a strong female lead that is a lawyer but she finds herself in some trouble. The chemistry and connection these two is physical and emotional. This was a heartfelt story with a good storyline that will pull you in. I was rooting for Gwen and Dominic from the beginning! I also loved that we get cameos from some of our favorite characters from previous books in this series. Again, I love this series so much and I can’t wait for more of it!
It doesn't matter what I have going on, I will drop everything the second Ms. Roberts drops a new book. My family has finally learned to not bother me from the second I start until I reach the end. This is one of many, I'm not keeping track of the number, in this series and I recommend reading them in order because previous characters always show up in the subsequent books and it's more fun when you have all the details.
This is Gwen and Dominic's story. She's a 40 something hotshot lawyer who works too hard and has sacrificed to reach the top of her field and is paying the price physically. Dominic is a wodowed bodyguard with a protective Daddy streak a mile wide. Bonus - we get more of Reuben. I'm really looking forward to his story. This one had all the humor, sweetness, suspense, drama, and passion that keeps me addicted to Ms. Roberts. I can't recommend it enough and I think everyone should read it.
Once again Wishingbone works its magic but this time the couple are older and it is so great to see over forties not only meet and fallen in Iove but also discover a DD/lg dynamic. Gwen, who is Reuben’s best friend Andy, has also had a health scare and Reuben persuades her under the guise of helping him get dirt on someone who spoke meanly of Juliet, to go to Wishingbone. Dominic meets her on the road outside town when she has a panic attack. He is immediately entranced by her. Gwen has a knack for getting into trouble, but luckily for her Dominic is there to help every time except one. As they explore their dynamic and fall in love Reuben’s ruse becomes real. It is great to learn more about Reuben and he and Dominic are really funny as they vie for Gwens’s safety. A really fun, feel good story with a scary threat running through it but a lovely ending to make it all right.
I enjoyed this book which is the 14th n the series. You would think by now that one would be tired of this series, but that is absolutely wrong. Wishingbone, Montana is the setting. There are lots of Little girls in this town with their Daddy by their side. Gwen has been sent to 'investigate' by her best friend Reuben. Reuben has a sister who lives in Wishingbone and he wants info on the man who talked badly about his sister. He has another motive as well, get Gwen out of the city and somewhere quiet to rest after her medical scare. She meets Dominic while she is pulled over trying to get herself together. There is instant attraction on both of their parts and they work to make everything work between the two of them. Great story and I'm looking forward to many more books from this author.
Lawyer Gwen is 43 years old and has worked herself into an unhealthy state so much that she now needs meds. Thinking she's doing a favor for her best friend Reuben, she goes to Montana and meets 54 yo Daddy Dom Dominic (Dom Dom) who is exactly the Daddy she's been in need of her whole life. After some really scary moments this ends in a wonderful HEA for them both! And everything is tied up nicely. Loved it! The only con I had was that Dom kept referring to her as "darling girl" among other endearments. It just didn't sound right. It sounded too stuffy like what an English professor would say, not what a career military man and bodyguard would say, but that's just me. Hope there's more about these two.
I loved reading Daddy Dominic(Mountain Daddies Book 14)!!! All about Gwen Anderson a lawyer who is forty-five years old, with a secret Little side & Dominic Brand who is a professional Bodyguard and is fifty-four years old and a Dom. He meets Gwen when he discovers her on the side of the road, having a medical condition. When he goes to get her a drink & chocolate bar, she drives off. He’s livid, but he’ll see her again, he’s sure if that!!! Read about Gwen & Dominic and see how being his Little turns life on its side!!! Lots of emotions and plenty of toe curling incidents. The author wrote a story about two people who are very different, yet are completely compatible in every way!!! Definite Read!!!!
This book has a lot of wide-view similarities to the other books in the series, but when you get up close and personal with the book, there are just enough differences to keep it fresh, while still leaving enough similarities to make it warm and comfy. The old characters are back with good purpose, the beats of the story move forward at a nice pace, and the new characters are lovable and hate-able as appropriate. I really enjoyed that the main female character was older than previous ones and I really liked that she existed with both anxiety and bravery in one character. It was a little lighter in the DDLG elements, but it worked and still had a lovely level of spice and tension.
Gwen and Dominic are dynamite! Such a beautiful love story with plenty of heat to keep things spicy! Gwen is an attorney but all the stress and fast paced NYC living has taken its toll on her health. When she quits her job, her best friend sends her to a small town to do some undercover investigation for him. Dominic lost his wife years ago and thinks he is content going through life alone. He loves his small town and his job. He was certainly not prepared for the emotion that Gwen makes him feel. Throw in a very dominant best friend and our favorite quirky town of Wishingbone and you have an amazing addition to the Montana Daddies!
Just wow, loved the dynamic of Dom and Gwen. Starts out that Gwen is there doing a favor for her best friend, but he actually wants to send her there so she can rest. She has a medical scare that seems to scare the best friend way more than her. When you find who this best friend is pretty quick, right there in the beginning you will be shocked. I love how Dominic takes care of Gwen when she is hurt and the love he shows her is great. Let's not leave out the other Littles though they do get up to mischief. This book is awesome if you love to read about the Dd/lg you'll love this. Another win 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 Laylah Robert's.
On this return to Wishingbone, we meet Gwen who has been sent to dig up dirt on a local business owner for her best friend Reuben. She suspects this is a ploy to get her to relax and possibly find her a "daddy". Dominic works Jensen's Security and runs into Gwen when she is having a panic attack on the side of the road. Being a small town, they run into each other and are attracted to each other. As they explore their feeling and relationship, Gwen is keeping secrets not only about why she is there but her health as well. Overall, this was a good read, but not my favorite in this series. I will say Reuben and Remy are intense and I cannot wait for their books.
