A collection of the weekly columns which appear in the Saturday supplement of "The Guardian". They tell the ongoing story of Dulcie's trials and tribulations with family, friends, neighbours, George Eliot the dog and Tom the plumber. The author has also written "Up the Garden Path".
The trouble with this author's style is that it is very contagious. Everything I wrote for a while afterwards, including personal letters, seemed to follow her style.
Bought second-hand on a trip to Margate as a quick silly read, and did not disappoint. Slapstick household adventures in the vein of Bridget Jones, lots of excellent witty asides, entertainingly real. Unashamed fun.
