What a fun children's book! We haven't read any of the "Danny Dozer" books but we will be looking for more to read. This book is perfect for any child that enjoys construction vehicles or baseball or just having fun in general! I read this to my two special needs teenage sons and even the one that hates to be read to would stop playing and 'listen' as I read. His older brother giggled and pointed and enjoyed looking at the illustrations as I read to him. This book explains baseball but also what construction vehicles do. And at the back is almost like a glossary explaining 'real' life dozers, and excavators etc. These are a must to own for us now.

I've always liked these entertaining books about the pieces of John Deere machinery! They're fun and certain to be nostalgic for many readers, as they have been in print for quite a few decades by now.
This particular book, about a group of kind-hearted machines that collaborate to build a baseball field as a surprise for the neighborhood kids, will be great fun for many readers. Johnny Tractor is practically a folk hero in American lit by now! :-)
