Read with the kids because we finished all 3 of E.B. White's children's novels. The book is broken down into specific parts - i.e. Early Life, Growing Up, Early Achievements, etc - the author uses each part to explain how to go about writing a biography, which was rather neat. Also included are short summaries of White's three children novels. Many of the topics covered in the book actually came up in form of questions from my kids, so it was helpful that the book covered topics to include other aspects outside of strictly E.B. White's life - for example the process of publishing a book is outlined.

Book can be further explored online through a websit by the publisher.

This book is a short biography of E.B White. It starts off talking about when he was born and where he was born. Then it goes to talk about his childhood and him wanting to be a writer. Then it goes on to tell about his first couple of books. Then it goes on to tell about him writing Charlottes Web and it being a big hit. In the story, it says the first couple books people read and enjoyed but really didn't know his name but since Charlottes Web people have read all his books since and they know his name. In the story, it talks about how E.B White said he wrote Charlottes Web for fun and then it turned into a big hit. The story said he never thought the book would put his name out there so much and that his books would become popular.

I really like this book a lot. Because it is a short biography that talks so much about E.B White as a person but also as a writer. I like this book because it is a short biography that I can read and learn about someone but also enjoy it. I really like E.B White too so this made the book even better because I got to learn more about him. I really loved this book and I think you would too.
