I didn’t know anything about Langston Hughes, but since there is a street just north of us with that name, I thought I should know something about the person it was named after.
Obviously I am not the targeted age for this book, but I still found it interesting enough to enjoy it.

(Note: I love Langston Hughes. I did not love this biography, which I read to my students recently.)

A middle school level biography. My son wanted to read it so I read it too. The writing is a little stilted and it ends abruptly but it is very informative and the author clearly admires Hughes. What an amazing, hard working, brilliant yet humble man he was!
