In the third book, Thor, Sif & Balder continue their quest across Asgard in search of the four mystic elements that Odin has sent them to retrieve in this Epic coming-of-age tale by celebrated manga writer Akira Yoshida! MARVEL AGE introduces new and young readers to some of the greatest legends of the Marvel Universe, with dynamic brand-new art and a contemporary sensibility in these action-packed graphic novels.
The young warriors head to Jotunheim to acquire a feather from Gnori, King of the Snow Eagles. Along the way they are beset by ice pixies and on-going discontent among themselves.
This issue follows pretty much the same pattern as the previous one - Thor, Sif, and Balder argue amongst themselves, fight some creature, then make up enough to obtain the mystic element they need. I actually enjoyed the fight with the ice pixies and liked the lecture they received from Gnori, which Thor sorely needed. Formula is fine, but when it follows almost exactly the same structure it really starts to detract from the good elements. I hope we see some variety in the upcoming issues.
Similarly, I find Tocchini’s creatures really excellent and well crafted. The ice pixies were crystalline and mischievous just the way they should be. Their small forms were formidable and they seemed quite a real threat. Similarly with Gnori the eagle - he was majestic and powerful. However, the humans don’t fare so well, often being kind of distorted and misshapen. I feel he would do well in a fantasy book featuring animals or monsters with no humans at all.
Another interesting installment, but the formulaic storytelling is a downfall.
"Though you are beloved by all of Asgard, it is love that may one day be your downfall"
The fight here was literally watching Sif figure out like the boss battle sequence in games where you notice a pattern lol. Also Thor is so quick to judge here, it's quite sad how much he trusts Loki. Lol
Anyway, this series shows how apologising isn't always enough and one should be accountable and try to make mends too sometimes. Also to not use destiny as an excuse to wrong others. (Lots of cheaters gotta learn this)

I ought to admit, these issues are definitely improving. So the trio finally as two elements out of the four they desired? That's great! I'm just wondering how Loki is in contact with all those mean men, though. That is, if it is really him who is creating all the troubles.
Well, no matter what it is, I do hope to read and enjoy the rest of the issues now.
Thor, Sif, and Balder find themselves in a frozen wasteland as they work to get a feather from a snow eagle (a bald eagle). They are soon attacked by small ice elementals or elves and must fight their way out of harm. When the eagle comes Thor accuses him of sending the elves, but he did not. Thor apologies and they receive the feather.

The quest continues as Thor and his friends make their way through the snow and ice to retrieve an eagle’s feather. There is still someone watching them, but no one knows who.
