As Thor, Sif and Balder continue their quest, emotions run high between the troubled teens, and the cracks in their friendship continue to widen. Now, they must make their way across the desert plains of Jennia, in search of one of the land's magic jewels, but little do they know what terrors await them beneath the shifting sands...
Thor and his friends spend some time in a tropical paradise before heading to the mines of Jennia. Once at the mines, they encounter a race of small creatures that seem to feed off emotions. Are these creatures protecting the gems they’ve come at acquire or is there something more?
This issue again follows the same basic formula as the previous ones, but this time we actually get a little more character interaction and humor. There’s some small romantic interplay between Thor and Sif, with a bit of jealousy on Balder’s part. Nothing too huge and nothing that will drive a wedge between them, but there may be some building resentment. Of course, this is actually fostered by Loki, hiding in the shadows. It doesn’t have quite the effect he was hoping for and he’s not quite pleased by the results.
The art is better this time. Partly because the focus is so much on the characters that Tocchini spends more time with them than on the creatures. There are more natural poses and less ambiguity in the faces. A nice improvement. Still really loving Granov’s covers, though!
Thor and his friends find themselves in an oasis. Sif says they all need a bath and volunteers to go first while the boys look for firewood and dinner. While gathering wood Thor hears a voice, Loki, call for help. Thinking it is Sif he runs back to the lake and catches her bathing. She gets out, dresses, and they have a small tussle in the sand, before winding up on the ground laughing together. Later, in a desert, as they walk toward the mines. As they near Sif is overcome lust for a jewel to call her own and vanishes into the sand. Thor angry at the sand of taking her disappears as well. Balder, the level-headed, is not taken by the sand until his feelings of loss come over him. Loki reveals himself and in his glee/ hatred also disappears in the sand. Thor and his friends wake up in the mine as the mine creatures feed off of strong emotion. They grab a jewel and walk out after calming down. Loki is not with them and wakes up in the dungeon of Karnilla.

Bueno bueno, ya esta empezando un poco mas la acción. Y hay alguien misterioso que no se de que lado esta. Sif y thor? Maybe Loki, es tan genial, siempre termina en esas situaciones 🤣
This one taught about balance and how you must keep calm and think through critical moments and not let your emotions get in the way, wisdom can trump brute strength.
Also OKAY I started the series all Weehee Loki and now I'm like YER LOKI WHY
