The book is well written and is a clear and concise explanation of the complex geology of Southeast Alaska. Those lacking a background in the geological sciences will appreciate the careful presentation of the materials needed to fully comprehend the text. I highly recommend this book to those with an interest in the topic.

I'm not a rock hound, but I am a self-processed geology nerd. This was a great companion book for me as I cruised Southeast Alaska.
