This is a comprehensive identification guide for grasses that gives details of their study and how to identify them complete with a number of keys for floristic, vegetative and seed identification as well as a draft key to help distinguish between the sub-species of Festuca rubra (Red Fescue). Hubbard is a master of his work and this comes through in this book with clear and concise language that is accessible to everyone with an interest in this field. A must have staple for any nature, environmental or landscape bookshelf.

Still the best book on the Uk grasses available. The illustrations are superb
