This book is so 80s fantastic, I can't even rate it in comparison to contemporary picture books. The premise is that a small child is struggling to get to sleep, so s/he dreams of the adventures of teddy bears (including their encounters with Pan, fairies, monsters, and clowns - oh yes, creepy clowns). It was a gift from my childhood that my 2-year-old daughter was very interested in.
