This full-sized version includes the more than 100 super-simple recipes that Dot Vartan created and found for the original collection. Also included are the richly colored and warmly detailed illustrations that Shelly Reeves Smith conceived as the perfect counterpart for the mouthwatering ingredients.Dot launched Mad About Muffins after her favorite bakery closed and she was forced to find or create another source for her own muffin craving. That aficionado's focus and enthusiasm is obvious throughout the book, as is her intention to make this simple and fulfilling food easy to create. I haven't made ALL the muffins in the book yet, but I'm willing to bet there is not a bad muffin in the bunch.

True story I brought the vegetable cheese muffins to a company potluck and a few weeks later a couple o my employees came to me and volunteered to do a much hated (but needed) task in exchange for my making them another batch of the muffins - they were that good

Great little book to have on hand if you are a muffin man or woman. The recipes I have used have all been good. There are a lot to choose from with most ingredients readily available. I also liked the illustrations.

I haven't made every recipe in this book (yet) but all of the ones I've made have been consistantly tasty and interesting.
