A very easy read. This is a school textbook and is written in a way that school students would understand the history of Guyana. An a fascinating history it is. From Spanish .to Dutch to English to French to Dutch to English to Dutch and finally to English control as a colony of the British empire. Slavery, economic exploitation, relationships with the Amerindian, exploration, and finally independence. All is roughed on in this history. A short quick work and an interesting one at that.
