A lot of effort and heart has gone into this book by the authors.
I have read a couple of books on Savitramma and each one of them was judgemental about her. They could not quench my thirst on one of the finest actors who makes me laugh and cry even now! I picked up this book - looking at the tome that it is - over 600 pages, i thought i can learn and know more about her.
However, the writing is all over the place. Its not coherent, sequential and does not provide a comprehensive view of / about Savitramma (i would like to call her the way Kamal Hasan calls her)!
I continue to read if i can make and glean some details and personality of Savitramma.
It's reverential, empathetic and hugely admiring of Savitramma. However her personality could not be translated to the reader coherently.
