Apparently Jenika Snow besides writing about horny lumberjacks, she can also write paranormal romance.
One girl, four vampire brothers in a world where vampires are the norm. There is no way I wouldn’t read this.
Sophie is a girl who is dying by terminal cancer, so she decides to live her life to the extreme before this happens. As a result she becomes an escort and she really enjoys it. Her final gig before she resigns to her fate is to attend a private party hosted by four vampires. That night her whole world will be upside down once more.
Although the story is short, it is comprehensive and to the point. Very entertaining.

Jane/Sophie is dying of cancer, so she decides to spend her time working as an escort to save up enough money to get away from it all. When she accepts a call none of the other girls would take, she finds four horny vampires who aren’t really looking for arm candy.

The sex scenes, which make up the majority of the narrative, are hot in a typical Jenika Snow fashion. The vampires are all handsome and they definitely appeal to Jane/Sophie. For some reason, one night of sex makes them decide she’s a forever kind of woman. I wasn’t really sure what they saw in her or what she liked about them (aside from the eternal life/not dying of cancer thing), and the narrative lost me a little in the middle, but it was a cute story and a fun read. Fans of Ms. Snow will not be disappointed. Anyone looking for a hot, short read will enjoy this offering.

Sophie wanted to become a teacher when she got older. That was until she found out she had cancer. She met a guy who offered her a job as an escort. She took it and she has saved up money for the time that she gets really sick. She is offered the last job she will ever take and it is for four vampires.

Mikael. Eli, Jonah, and Benjamin are four brothers who are vampires and they only wanted a woman to keep them company for the night. Once all five get together everything changes and they are taken on a night of hot sex.

This was one hot and erotic book. I just hated that it was short but it was worth the read. This author sure knows how to get you into a good mood and I can't wait to read more from her.

The Taste of Blood is an excellent beginning to what promises to be a hot series. The characters and Sophie’s ability to face death with such grace fascinated me. Jenika Snow left me wondering where she will go next. I look forward to reading the rest of the Dark Lust series and recommend that you pick up The Taste of Blood and get hooked.

grumps about reading shorties!! but then grinz it was soo worth it! if I could have made it longer! I cant think of anything I didnt like about this book. I could almost picture each vampire. Insert alot of yumminess here. Knowing your time is limited you are free to do whatever you want. You choose one more job. What girl wouldnt want to be "jane". Enjoy!

The life of an "escort" -- who gets a fantasy all to herself. Four men (it was a little disturbing to me that they were brothers sharing her, but....) and then one falls for her (in one night of hot passion, shared with his brothers). Unbelievable? yeah -- but really hot, and an enjoyable story.
