Actress Regina Cole achieved overnight success in Hollywood, but stunned the world when she gave up her career to marry a much older man. After his death, Regina encounters his estranged son, Dr. Aaron Spencer, a Brazil-based microbiologist, and is unable to deny the instant attraction. Driven to seduce his father's widow, Aaron finds that the revenge he sought pales in comparison to his desire for Regina, and the passion he feels is far more than he imagined.

I started reading this series, " Hideaway Legacy" books # 8 to #16. I finally obtained #1 to #7 and the storyline is becoming clearer and I recognize the characters from the later books e. g. "Tyler Cole". This was a good story of two stubborn people.
Regina got on my NERVES!! One minute she is acting like she needs protection and cant make it in the world without someone protecting her. Then in the next instant she got attitude
Darkness made whole through light and love. After coming to terms with the past, Aaron and Regina are set on a journey to see if their love could blossom. With mistrust being at the hem one could never be sure. But having the guidance of her mother Parris, Regina realizes home is where the heart is. Aaron the ever loving doctor had to come to terms with his late father. Getting over past hurts would be necessary to see the future develop. Not to go on with your one true love is more painful than anything the past could be. As we watch Regina and Aaron you see what it is to let go and walk in one's destiny.
I liked the characters and the details but what threw me was the pointless fights the characters would have. There was no true substance to the plot. Also the ending was slowly rushed. I felt like the last few chapters were written on a time crunch. Although, I liked the characters, I think the story of Regina and Aaron could have been better. Probably my least favorite in the series.
This right here is the second book in 'Hideaway Legacy' series that I have read and I am in LOVE. I did not expect to be this attached to a series. Ms. Alers has done a wonderful pulling me into the world of around the Cole dynasty.
Regina's romance story was full of page turning emotions. One minute it's you feel the warmth and passion the next you want to scream... loved the ending.
