Book #2 in the Love and Madness series. Yet also a stand-alone novel.
A teenage girl jumps out of her psychoanalyst’s window, crashes to the ground and dies. Was it suicide? Or did her analyst push the patient to her death?
Duffino is now a beautiful, successful psychoanalyst in the upper east side of Manhattan, an expert in mother daughter relationships. Yet nothing prepared her for her latest patient: Andromeda, a schizophrenic teenage girl accused of murdering her mother.
As Andromeda’s mind games proceed, Duffino becomes lost deeper in a maze of lies, deception and confusion.
A page-turning psychological thriller, this novel takes us deep into the world of madness, and shows us that all is not as well as it seems.
Book #2 in the Love and Madness series, yet also stand-alone novel. Book #1 (CONFINEMENT) is also available on Kindle.
I felt like the first book in this "series" left me hanging, and I read this expecting a little fulfillment. It was very disappointing to find out the only ties to the first book were some character names. I was confused and annoyed trying to follow along, since Duffino had different histories in each book.
This book fell flat. I didn't mind that the story line was completely separate from the first book in the series and I was enjoying the book until the ending. There was no end, I felt that the story abruptly stopped, not worth the time I spent reading it.
SUCKED! Had nothing to do whatsoever with the first book. And then it just ended. Gabriella Murray is going to have to do better than this to get people to read any other books.
I enjoyed this book, even though I feel as if it could have been a little bit shorter because it seemed the author was putting a lot of extra words that didn't need to be there. To many long and dawn out details, it got to a point that I was just scanning the page and trying to get to the interesting parts. Over all I would still recommend this book to others especially those who have already read the first book. It ties in with this story very well.
This book was a quick read and there were some interesting parts about mental illness....but I wish there was more detail to lead the MC to her decision/conclusion at the end.
