Mason Winters is walking a fine line between normal and completely out of control. Suffering from horrible Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, the only way he can continue to keep his illness a secret is by living under a strict routine that is planned down to the very second. Live his structured life. Do his job. Continue to function.
One night, though, something goes terribly wrong, and in the blink of an eye a stranger is dead and Mason is responsible. But something incredible also Mason is released from the chains of his rigidly timed life. He is finally free of his OCD. Until he realizes his OCD has taken on a new the need to kill.
Detective Jamie Horne has more going on than he knows how to handle. A partner in rehab. A son who is showing disturbing signs he can no longer ignore. And he is also confronting a rash of seemingly unrelated murders, whose only point of commonality is the time of night they were committed. But zeroing in on a killer he can hardly recognize brings his family to the attention of a psychotic mind unlike any he has ever encountered. And sets off a chain of events that could destroy them all.
Suspenseful and chilling, COMPELLED is DEXTER meets SILENCE OF THE LAMBS.
The overall story wasnt bad. The writing style and the misspelled words makes the story confusing at times.
Its frightening to think that somebody actually tick like the main character Mason. He is a very believeable character. If misspelled words dont bother you, then this ais a good book to read.
Pretty good. A few things I'm still not sure of. The more I think of it, the more I wonder if I missed something, but other readers say the same thing. interesting enough to keep me reading. Liked the 'twist' at the end.
Not bad. Writing style was a little choppy, but all in all pretty good. Loved the way Aaron Niz described Mason's problems. Creepy. Interesting enough to keep me reading. Seems like the next on is Skeptic. Might pick that one up.
I liked the story - and hope to read another book about Mason. The writing wasn't very good, though. Lots of confusing sentences and grammatical errors. Hopefully the author will improve and get an editor.
Not too bad for the the price if you dont mind bad editing. The story line was good, just a little hard to follow. I seems just about anyone can get a book publisher anymore.
