I loved this book. The originality of the idea and the use of literary devices by the author to add to the atmosphere and imagery. The flow of events was well executed and overall a lovely book. I would recommend reading if you want a feel of the Caribbean while reading an interesting story and having a short book that is easy to understand. Fantastic!

Such a wholesome children’s story especially for beginner readers with simple sentences, vocabulary, descriptions and just enough literary devices to hook them. The dialogue also incorporated enough of the rural dialect used in Jamaica as well, which makes it an accessible piece of Caribbean children’s literature.
