This is a great book, for kids and adults alike. I had no idea who Narcissa Whitman was before reading this book, but now I want to find more biographies about her. What a woman! I like how the author allowed Narcissa's determination and hard-working spirit shine through in this children's book. highly recommend!

We read this for TruthQuest History II (2nd grader and a tagalong kinder). It kept my kids’ attention for the whole 46 pages, and inspired them to be as helpful and industrious as Narcissa and her siblings. 🤣 We really enjoyed learning about Narcissa Prentiss Whitman.

These biographies from Troll associates should be in every school library. The title Narcissa Whitman Brave Pioneer was missing the point, She was one of the first women to cross the great divide, not just a brave pioneer. This was a good read.
