Summer Alvarez is successful, independent, and a loner by choice. Since losing her family as a child, she decided long ago that it was better to only rely on herself and to avoid any close relationships. In between jobs, she answers an ad for a bilingual teacher for a preschooler, the daughter of Gabriel Rodrigo, a world famous singer and entertainer. Although the idea of world travel is enticing, the reason she feels compelled to accept the position, despite her instant dislike for Gabe, is his adorable little girl, Marisol. Gabe is used to women throwing themselves at him and after a disastrous marriage, he’s learned not to trust women, especially attractive women like Summer. Intrigued despite himself, he hires her to tutor his four year old while he tours Europe. It doesn’t take long for Gabe to realize that Summer is altogether different from any woman he’s ever met. Aside from her beauty and intelligence, and aside from the fact that she’d great with his daughter, what he finds most fascinating is the fact that she’d not the least bit interested in him or anything he has to offer. Taking her on a family vacation to Spain, Gabe decides to take a chance and act on the strong attraction he feels toward Summer. But will Summer ever consider him as anything other than her employer, and can he charm his way into her well barricaded heart?
Who dose not like a Latin lover,"I love your hair.I love how it looks, and I especially love how it feels when my hands are buried in it or it`s spread over the pillow.Or draped across my body." The heat in his gaze burned her,and she felt a blush coloring her cheeks as she looked away.Gabe reached beneath her chin and lifted so she`d meet his eyes."You`re blushing." "I am not blushing." "You are, querida.I like that I can make you blush. Its proof that you`re not immune to my charm." Gracias Mr. Hot and Sexy Gabriel Rodrigo......
I just could not force myself to finish this book. The beginning was ok but about halfway through, I found myself skimming the paragraphs and eventually just gave up. The dialogue was just...strange. It was like they were speaking formally in ways that people just don't talk in normal conversation. Summer just annoyed me. Gabe was okay but was one of the few celebrity male fictional characters I just found...blah. Marisol was adorable and probably the one saving grace of what i did read. Glad I picked this up for free.
This was a quick, fun, easy read with wonderfully created characters. I loved the main character, Summer. She was a strong, very intelligent, confident, independent heroin. And the hero Gabe is every woman’s dream! Loved it and didn’t want to put it down!
It was okay. I didn't quite feel the romance, but the writing wasn't that bad to get much irritated. The most irritating part was the lectures each characters gave each other. It felt very stilted.
