Underbar bok!
Another read for my PGCE preparation, and I loved it!
The narrative unfolds the two stories of Prometheus and Pandora, while presenting them in a chronological order. It includes mentions of the other Greek Gods and Goddesses, while also explaining how humans were created, in accordance to Ancient Greek beliefs.
Having been obsessed with Greek legends and myths, this book was a pleasure to read. And the colourful choice of images was exciting and enjoyable to fixate upon while reading.
I would definitely read this to myself, let alone key stage two children. However, I do worry that young children may struggle to remember the character names since they are native to Ancient Greece and may sound similar or confusing to them.
This was another Spanish book aimed at children, but with the added bonus of it being a parallel text. I knew the story of Pandora, but I've never read a full thing. I think this would be good for helping slightly more advanced than beginner learners with picking improving their Spanish. I will be looking for more like this.
Perfect for my level of Polish reading right now. The English translation isn't always exactly spot-on, but it gets the main points across with a little less nuance. Bonus points for giving me an excuse to bug my parents about the Polish language.
