Like most biochemistry textbooks, this one is not well written, even if its authors are experts in biochemistry. Inconsistent wording, e.g., base-pair is used most of the time, but some parts of the text use bp to refer to base-pair without clarification. Some complicated concepts could be easily explained by more graphical illustrations, but the authors choose to rely on narration and only give very shallow graphical illustrations, e.g., base pairs' twisting.

Very detailed, thorough textbook with excellent diagrams. However, the writing is laborious, and overcomplicated. Additionally, many of the detailed steps are explained before the diagrams of the pathways are shown. Could easily be simplified and the sequences of text altered.

The beautiful complexity of natural replication. I'm not going to read all the way through, I have other interests.

Loved the subject and found this textbook to be helpful, but only once the topics were placed in a context given by the marvelous professor I had.
