This book shows that there's more of Viking other than plundering another settlement. I can say the life of Viking is pretty brutal for the weak people (elderly and babies!). This book has nice info about the typical Viking town, what is the daily chore of each member of society, and how they created their ships (there are many types of ships).
But still, I want more, a lot more. It's mentioned that they created enclaves in other countries and I want to know about that too. Overall, I think this book is a great introduction to the topic with very helpful illustrations.

This book was great for our Viking unit. It was clear and concise with wonderful cutouts and labeled pictures.
