Likeable for the handy size it is to fit in my day pack with lots no numerous ideas of rambling around villages, towns and farms of Ireland I liked the quaintness of it and the savage beauty especially of those beaches, foreshore cliff tops and squalling gulls.
Yes you could just about imagine yourself standing next to Brian as he describes so accurately what Ireland is to him and me with relations there I've only met a few but being introduced to most of the people who lived in my Uncle's town you'd think we were long lost cousins.
But its like that in Ireland even if you don't open your mouth to say 'Hello' 'How you doing' or 'Hi' its folksy but genuine too. Like a travel guide but personal if that's possible.
