I started this during Covid lockdown and finally just finished. This was for when I taught 8th grade science. The human body is insanely complex but in some ways fairly simple. I liked the blurbs on Homeostatic Imbalance for each chapter that detailed ailments and why they happen.

I have the tenth edition. This is a introductory level 101 text with excellent diagrams and information. Well laid out and very easy to follow. I've had my copy for a few years, and refer to it alot. Therefore it now has multiple stickies, and hilites. Frankly it's getting a little tattered. Highly recommend for entry level to anatomy and physiology.

A very informative book that I read because I took a class with this as the main text. I encourage anyone who is willing to rent, or purchase, this book in order to educate themselves on human anatomy to do so. This book is worth your time.

The best part about this book is it is actually not boring. The way this book was written allows you to read it in chunks and spurts while being engaged and will not lose you in its technical aspects. This book is very user friendly, and I learned a lot from it. Perhaps you will learn more from this educational text as well.

I have decided to add this book to my Goodreads, as this book helped me pass the first two years of my degree, and I've actually enjoyed reading it.

I recommend it to anyone that is studying Radiography at Leeds university (very specific group of people), but also to anyone who's generally interested in Human Anatomy. It goes into enough detail that it isn't too confusing, and uses brilliant analogies to explain the body's internal systems.

Thanks Marieb!

A lot of information presented in a readable style. Good diagrams, photos, and illustrations. The accompanying CD-ROM was a helpful study tool. I need to go back and finish the biochemistry chapter; that was a slog for me. I'm sure I'll refer back to many sections as I go through school. Glad to have this book!

i still remember the days when we started learning the medical terms of man's body parts. it was very difficult and challenging but still i think it was worth it since the subjects we took after this are much, much harder.

This was a really good overview of the anatomy system. I skipped taking biology in high school so with no background, I found this text really helpful. It was laid out well, the diagrams that went along with processes described really helped drive the information home.

Great for entry level A & P courses. I loved the added material provided for instructors. Pearson is by far my favorite publisher to use to teach Science courses.
