A fun book to get an overview of monsters and mythical creatures throughout history and in various countries. Interesting, but in no way exhaustive.

The book gives a an introduction on the subject matter on each chapter and may even give a description of the creature like: lindwurm, tatzlwurm, hedgehog, salamander, sea lion, rosmarin, narwhale, ostrich, manatee . Some of the creatures in here are more symbolic in nature then just drawings of the creature or god.
